For those with a love of travel, the Diploma of Business (International Tourism) equips you with the skills needed for a successful career in the diverse global tourism industry. This course provides an introduction to key concepts relating to the tourism industry. As your career develops, the knowledge and experience gained while studying the Diploma of International Tourism could lead you to working with businesses as diverse as airlines, attractions, tour operators and travel companies.

The Diploma of Business (International Tourism) offers you a stand-alone ICMS qualification delivered through the Aspire Institute or you could choose to use your diploma qualification as a pathway into a bachelor program at ICMS, with completed specialisations and subjects counting towards your degree. Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Business (International Tourism) you will receive advanced standing for subjects in an ICMS bachelor degree.

Aspire Institute is a trading name of ICMS (the International College of Management, Sydney Pty Ltd). All Aspire diploma students are part of the greater ICMS student community, with lectures held at our Northern Beaches Campus or at our Sydney City Campus, subject to availability. Aspire students receive dedicated academic support, including study skills.

As ICMS courses are reaccredited, the subject is updated to a B-code suffix. Students studying a Diploma of Business, Diploma of Business (Sports Management), Diploma of Business (Entrepreneurship and Innovation), Diploma of Business (Marketing), Diploma of Business (International Tourism), Diploma of Hospitality Management and Diploma of Event Management will be enrolled in B-code subjects in 2027. Students enrolled in all other courses at ICMS will complete the equivalent A-code subject.

As digital advancements such as artificial intelligence, smart tourism and big data become integral to tourism experiences, professionals must understand the role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and emerging innovations in driving business success.

This subject introduces students to technology adoption, innovation strategies and digital transformation across various tourism sectors.
