About UTS

The UTS MBA is designed for early career professionals seeking to either extend their knowledge and capabilities into managerial roles, or to change careers into a new field of business. All MBA subjects are approved by an industry board that insists on ‘relevance to workplace’ as a pre-eminent subject design principle. The MBA provides knowledge and skills that are essential for superior management performance.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ASPIRE GRADUATE CERTIFICATE OF BUSINESS (GCB18)

REQUIRED FOR PACKAGED VISA WITH INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF MANAGEMENT SYDNEY

Applicants must meet one (1) of the following criteria:

A Successful completion of a bachelor degree from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent

B Successful completion of an overseas higher education course of at least three years duration (minimum AQF Level 6 or equivalent), with a minimum credit grade average.

C At least five (5) years appropriate full-time managerial or professional experience. Applicants must demonstrate a recognisable level of responsibility as part of their work experience. Position accountability in a range of areas such as budgeting, staffing, project management, financial management or other relevant supervisory experience should be evident in the applicant’s work history. While senior levels of volunteer experience may be considered, normally the majority of the work should be in a paid, full-time capacity.

D Successful completion of at least two award or at least two non-award subjects (at AQF Level 8 or above) from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent.

b) Have a qualification equivalent to an AQF Bachelor Degree, or an AQF Associate Degree according to the Department of Education

and Training (DET) – Country Education Profiles *; and

c) Meet the UTS English language requirement for entry into the MBA; and

d) Apply through UTS approved agents and Aspire Institute agents. Direct applicants will not be accepted; and

e) Not be prohibited under local or international legislation including the Australian Sanctions law or United Nations sanctions regime.

* UTS will not approve package requests from applicants who are qualified for direct entry into the UTS MBA.

ARTICULATION REQUIREMENTS FOR UTS MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION  

Students commencing in 2019 will need to successfully complete the Graduate Certificate with a WAM of 65% and at least 75% of

subjects are completed at a pass level or better.

Students commencing in 2020 and onwards will need to successfully complete the Graduate Certificate with at least 75% of

subjects completed at a pass level or better.
