Aspire Institute, is a trading name of ICMS, International College of Management, Sydney Pty Ltd. The Diploma of Business (Accounting) offers you a stand-alone ICMS qualification delivered through the Aspire Institute or, should you wish to further your studies, you could choose to use your diploma qualification as a pathway into the second year of a bachelor degree at ICMS. Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Business (Accounting) you will receive advanced standing for subjects which are part of a bachelor business degree at ICMS.

All Aspire diploma students are part of the greater ICMS student community, with lectures held at the Northern Beaches Campus or at the City Campus, subject to availability. Aspire students receive dedicated academic support, including study skills.

Management Accounting I (ACC102A)

This subject will enable students to learn the knowledge and skills required of managers who are working in the current complex and diverse business environment. The subject examines costing, cost management, budgeting, performance management and pricing.

 Students will learn a variety of skills to assist in interpretation and presentation of accounting information to various stakeholders. Students will also learn about and practice the processes and techniques of management accounting that focus on the effective and efficient use of organisational resources.

 

Marketing (MKT101A)

Marketing has changed significantly over the past decades from traditional to contemporary marketing. While traditional marketing is still relevant today to some, many more businesses are reaping greater profits using contemporary marketing strategies.  

This subject will expose students to a range of contemporary marketing strategies including database marketing, relationship marketing, interaction marketing, networking marketing, customer engagement using co-creation marketing strategies, and marketing ethics. The aforementioned principles of marketing are demonstrated using situations that students will encounter in their professional practice of marketing.
